Moscow Aviation Institute (State University of Aerospace Technologies) was founded in 1930 to train highly skilled personnel for the aviation of the USSR. For 79 years it has graduated over 136 000 highly qualified experts. The institute has unique laboratory resources with a number of unique equipment units. Specialists are trained on full-scale models of aircrafts, helicopters, rockets, weapon, avionics and radar systems.
MAI is the only university in the world that has its own airfield where would-be design engineers have their flying training. It is also the only institute that scientifically tracks mass production of aircrafts.
MAI trains multifunctional designers and engineers for aviation, space and defense industries.
