Science and Education Center for Nanotechnologies in Electronics

Science and Education Center for Nanotechnologies in Electronics (SEC “NanoElectronics”) – structural unit of the South West State University (Kursk) - was created to organize and conduct R&D, develop new kinds of hi-tech and knowledge-intensive products, participate in training of highly skilled academic, academic-and-teaching and academic-and-production staff, train students and upgrade skills of enterprise specialists.

“NanoElectronics” founders view its scientific mission as performance of fundamental and applied research in the following fields:

  • Elaboration of instrument design methods based on new physical principles
  • Development of new nano-structured parts of electronic devices with nano-dimensional resolution
  • Manufacture of new types of products on their basis: electronic devices with wide-range operating frequency and communication nano-electronic devices with high basic frequency and increased passband

The following types of research and development activities are performed at the Center:

  1. Construction of devices for adaptive control over correlative reliability parameters of interconnections of micro- and nano-electronic equipment able to perform nano-surface low-temperature thermal diffusion
  2. Elaboration of devices for adaptive control over autocorrelative reliability parameters of interconnections of micro- and nano-electronic equipment able to perform nano-surface low-temperature thermal diffusion
  3. Automation of control over dynamic reliability characteristics of interconnections in large-scale integrated circuits with regard to autocorrelation functions
  4. Automation of thermal diffusion treatment of interconnections of electronic parts ordered to secure required reliability parameters
  5. Creation of a new electronic component base of SHF in micro- and nano-electronic devices in frequency ranging 200–1000 GHz with reliability controlled in terms of correlative and autocorrelative technological thermal diffusion low temperature parameters
  6. Research of composite materials with active centres of polymerization and crystallization in the form of nano-tubes, fullerenes and nano-particles providing unique properties with manufactured goods
