The Concept of Kaliningrad Region Exhibition and Fair Activities was approved in February 2009. According to the Concept, exhibition and fair activities are to be viewed as a tool for regional market development. The Government of the region explains this thesis with “5i” model: IMAGE of the region, INTERESTS of consumers, INTERESTS of suppliers, INNOVATIONS in production, INFORMATION about the market.
The regional Government aims to provide equal competitive conditions for all the participants of exhibition and fair activities. It closely interacts with federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the Russia′s regions, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businesses, trade and branch unions and other organizations involved in the exhibition business.
The Concept emphasizes financial support provided for exhibition and fair activities, which can be as well represented by reimbursement of a part of expenses spent on event′s organization.
The leading exhibition company in Kaliningrad region is the Baltic-Expo JSC, a member of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Baltic-Expo organizes Russian and international exhibitions, presentations, seminars, conferences, auctions on the territory of its own 2,000 sq.m. large exhibition complex or at other exhibition venues both in Russia and abroad.
Kaliningrad Economic Forum
The forum is traditionally carried out in small towns of the region. It aims to contribute to the development of regional municipalities.
The forum objectives are as follows:
Activation of small and medium sized business in smaller and medium sized Russian towns by means of attraction of Russian and foreign partners to investment projects implementation.
Assistance to local authorities in development of smaller territories. Within the frameworks of the Forum, work in sections, round table discussions, seminars and conferences take place.
Agrocomplex
This international specialized exhibition is one of the key events for the agroindustrial complex of the region. It helps attract latest technologies, equipment and agricultural machinery to the agricultural sector.
The exhibition program includes reports, presentations, professional discussions of urgent problems in cattle-breeding, rural development, financial provision of agroindustrial complex.
InfoExpo
The latest achievements in the sphere of IT and advertising technologies are represented at the international specialized exhibition, with about 60 local companies participating in it.
The largest stand at Baltic-Expo exhibition space is traditionally occupied with the exhibit of the regional government and dedicated to creation of information-oriented society and informing citizens about application of IT in everyday activities of regional and municipal authorities.
The exhibition program includes presentations of commodities and services and seminars of various kinds.
