Being one of the tools for investor attraction, promotion of regional goods and services and image formation, the exhibition and fair activities are paid much attention in the Republic of Karelia.
In 2009 the Coordination Council for Exhibition and Fair Activities was founded to become a structural part of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia.
The exhibition"Days of the Republic of Karelia"is one of the main annual interregional events traditionally exhibiting products of mining and lumber industries, agro-industrial complex, innovative enterprises, companies functioning in the sphere of national artistic trades and tourism.
The exhibition is mainly focused on attracting investment in the economy of the Republic. 12 investment and innovation projects were presented at “Days of the Republic of Karelia – 2009” exhibition. Goods and services supply agreements, direct sales and negotiations with potential investors became the main results of the exhibition.
Karelian Forest. Furniture. Woodworking
The following categories are traditionally presented at the exhibition: lumber, woodworking tools and equipment, drying plants, “turn-key” manufacturing lines, timber loaders, harvesting machinery and specialized machinery, hoses, pipes, hydraulic valves, industrial oil, machinery and equipment for lumber industry.
The exhibition includes an ambitious business program for the managers and specialists of various enterprises.
Karelia FOOD
Manufacturers and suppliers of food and processing industries, shop equipment, production and trade automation equipment take part in the exhibition.
In the course of event, the visitors can purchase different varieties of tea and food medicinal oils, honey and apiculture products, home-produced dried fruit and pastry, bakery products, meat and fish products, dairy products.
The business program includes round-table discussions on industry’s urgent issues, such as cooperation between food manufacturers and wholesale and retail trade companies.
Karelian Roads
The exhibition includes demo shows of machinery, seminars, round tables, presentations. Road-building machinery is presented by such well-known companies as Ferronordic (Volvo), Professional, Wirtgen, Finsad Group Oy, Sandvik Mining, Korrus-Tech, UralTechTrans, Tradicia-К, Zeppelin Russland, Technograde, Professional KredMash, Skania-Rus.
