One of the major factors boosting economic development of regional enterprises is extension and strengthening of cooperation between business community of the region and foreign partners, being a result of Lipetsk companies’ participation in the international exhibitions.
Top-management of Lipetsk enterprises is kept constantly informed about prominent exhibitions in the far and near abroad countries: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Spain, Macedonia, Slovakia, Czech Republic. Taking part in exhibitions of this kind, the regional market participants extend their foreign trade relations and geography of product marketing to the export market.

Since 1997, investment conferences proved to be a sound way to modify the economic development in Lipetsk Region.

Much attention is paid to the development of system approach to investment attraction, development of public-private partnership mechanisms, delivery of authoritative information about the development of Special Economic Zones, in particular Lipetsk SEZ, which is one of oldest in Russia.
The conference is attended by the representatives of RF ministries of Economic Development, Regional Development, Industry and Trade, representatives of public federal organizations, banks, rating agencies, embassies and trade agencies of Italy, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Serbia.
In 2009, the forum was first held in a form of a videoconference between Lipetsk and Moscow, which also included connections with several regions of Central Federal district – Belgorod, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga and Orel regions.
